Senior Software Developer – Hybrid (Cambridge)

About the role

As part of AVEVA’s Industrial Platform Group, you will join a talented team of software engineers building CONNECT, the core industrial intelligence platform. The role is hybrid, based in Cambridge, and focuses on designing, developing and evolving scalable cloud‑based capabilities that enable digital transformation for industrial customers.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with software engineers to design and develop core features of CONNECT.
• Optimize platform scalability, reliability and performance to meet industry standards.
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues across platform services and interfaces.
• Monitor and analyse platform metrics to ensure optimal performance and availability.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities, including code reviews, testing and agile planning.

Required profile

• STEM degree or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of software development experience.
• Strong competence in object‑oriented design and a focus on maintainable, extensible code.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and microservice design patterns.
• Proficiency in C# .NET or similar technologies.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work closely with other developers.
