Senior Software Developer (Hybrid, Cambridge)

About the role

As a Senior Software Developer in AVEVA's Industrial Platform Group, you will help design, build and evolve CONNECT, the core industrial intelligence platform. Working in a hybrid setting in Cambridge, you will collaborate with internal stakeholders and engineering teams to deliver scalable, high‑performance cloud capabilities that enable digital transformation for global industrial customers.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop core features of the CONNECT platform alongside other software engineers.
• Optimize platform scalability, reliability and performance to meet industry standards.
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues across platform services and interfaces.
• Monitor and analyse platform metrics to ensure optimal availability.
• Participate in agile activities such as code reviews, testing and planning.

Required profile

• STEM degree or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong competence in object‑oriented design and a focus on maintainable, extensible code.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and microservice design patterns.
• Proficiency in C#/.NET development.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work closely with other developers.
