Senior Software Engineer, Python (Tools Development)

About the role

Roku is looking for a Senior Software Engineer with deep Python expertise to join its Automation and Tools team. You will design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks and tools that enable internal engineering groups to test and validate Roku’s embedded devices and streaming platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Build and evolve automation frameworks for embedded software testing.
• Develop tooling that improves productivity for firmware developers and QA engineers.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams to add new capabilities and advanced features to the existing toolset.
• Provide technical guidance and support to internal stakeholders during validation and release cycles.
• Maintain high code quality, documentation, and debugging standards.

• Senior‑level software engineer with strong problem‑solving abilities.
