Senior Substation Site Manager - Net Zero Teesside

About the Role

Join a landmark project as a Substation Site Manager and play a pivotal role in the Net Zero Teesside programme. Based at Tod Point (Redcar), you will lead the delivery of critical electrical infrastructure, ensuring every phase from initiation to commissioning meets the highest standards of safety, quality, and sustainability.

Main Responsibilities

• Direct all site activities for a defined section of the project, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with technical specifications.
• Manage and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams and subcontractors to optimize productivity and performance.
• Oversee project planning, progress monitoring, and the maintenance of accurate site records and reports.
• Control project costs, resources, and technical implementation to ensure commercial viability.
• Drive a robust 'Zero Harm' safety culture by implementing HSE compliance, producing/reviewing RAMS, and conducting safety tours.
• Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, the supply chain, and internal project teams to ensure seamless integration.

Candidate Profile

• Proven track record in managing substation projects, High Voltage (HV) works, or major infrastructure developments.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple work fronts simultaneously.
• Exceptional decision-making abilities and a proactive approach to risk management.
• Excellent communication skills for effective stakeholder management and team motivation.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to interpret complex technical drawings.

Required Skills & Certifications

• CSCS / SSSTS certification is mandatory.
• Expertise in HSE management and RAMS production.
• Proficiency in project scheduling and resource management.
• Deep understanding of HV electrical infrastructure.
