Senior Sustainability Consultant – Whole Life Carbon & Circular Economy

About the role

Our client, a respected building services consultancy, is expanding its sustainability practice within the data‑centre sector. They are seeking a Senior Sustainability Consultant to lead Whole Life Carbon (WLC) and Circular Economy (CE) services, shaping methodology and delivering high‑impact assessments for major projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead Whole Life Carbon assessments across a portfolio of building and data‑centre projects.
• Produce Circular Economy statements and associated reporting.
• Develop embodied carbon reduction strategies and recommendations.
• Support compliance with GLA and London Plan sustainability requirements.
• Write and manage technical sustainability reports from concept through to completion.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to build internal sustainability capability and best‑practice processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in sustainability consulting, preferably within the built environment.
• Strong understanding of Whole Life Carbon, embodied carbon and Circular Economy principles.
• Ability to work independently and influence senior stakeholders.
• Excellent written communication for high‑quality client reports.
