Senior Systems Administrator

About the role

This is a hands‑on, multi‑disciplinary IT position responsible for the full office technology environment. You will own day‑to‑day IT operations, support a mixed Windows and Linux infrastructure, and help stabilise services during a move to a new office with complex requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage user onboarding, off‑boarding, provisioning and access control across Microsoft identity, SSO and MFA.
• Administer and secure endpoints, handling patching, inventory and device lifecycle management.
• Support and maintain office IT services, including guest Wi‑Fi and physical access systems.
• Own Azure‑based identity, permissions, groups and device access policies.
• Maintain accurate records for devices, ownership and system documentation.
• Administer network infrastructure – firewalls, switches, VLANs, Wi‑Fi and VPN connectivity.
• Troubleshoot LAN, WAN, DNS, DHCP and endpoint connectivity issues.
• Maintain network documentation such as diagrams, port maps and standards.
• Manage Windows and Linux servers, virtualization (Proxmox), storage, backups and monitoring.
• Support incident response, maintenance and service recovery for server and storage infrastructure.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on IT administration in a small or mid‑sized environment.
• Strong experience with Microsoft/Azure identity, SSO, MFA and access management.
• Proven ability to manage endpoints, laptops and office IT environments.
• Solid networking fundamentals including switching, VLANs, Wi‑Fi, DHCP, DNS, firewalls and VPNs.
• Experience with Windows and Linux server administration and virtualization (ideally Proxmox).
• Experience managing storage, backups and system monitoring.
• Comfortable acting as the primary IT owner in a lean team.
