Senior Tour Organiser

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Tour Organiser to lead the creation and delivery of European cultural tours. You will work independently on your own tours, requiring strong administrative and communication abilities.

Key responsibilities

• Design, plan and cost bespoke tours across Europe.
• Source and negotiate directly with hotels, restaurants and other suppliers.
• Collaborate with ground agents and local guides.
• Liaise with US clients, pitch new business and manage client documentation.
• Oversee tour finances and produce clear, engaging itineraries.
• Handle client enquiries by phone and email, process booking forms and pre‑tour paperwork.
• Book flights using Galileo or a similar system and ensure smooth logistics on‑site.
• Manage party welfare, address issues such as lost baggage or medical emergencies, and support colleagues abroad.

Required profile

• Minimum eight years’ experience organising special‑interest tours to Europe.
• Background in Art History or a strong interest in gardens.
• Proficiency in at least one European language.
• Excellent written communication and copy‑writing skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, make decisions and maintain diplomacy.
• Stamina, sense of humour and a passion for travel.

Required skills

• Galileo (flight booking system) proficiency.
