Service Technician – Lifesaving Equipment

About the role

Beaufort, a global leader in survival and safety technologies, is looking for a Service Technician to independently service lifesaving equipment, including liferafts, to approved standards. You will work in a fast‑paced environment ensuring that critical safety gear is ready for use in demanding defence and aerospace settings.

Key responsibilities

• Perform inspection, inflation, testing, and repacking of liferafts and related products.
• Service and certify lifejackets according to regulatory requirements.
• Operate workshop equipment safely and efficiently.
• Complete service documentation accurately and maintain records.
• Identify defects, report them, and coordinate corrective actions.

Required profile

• High school education (4 GCSEs or equivalent) or comparable qualification.
• Ability to work autonomously while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
• Strong organisational skills with effective time‑planning capabilities.
• Calm under pressure, able to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.
• Willingness to travel as required.

• Competent servicing skills for lifesaving equipment.
• Accurate documentation and record‑keeping.
• Ability to follow technical procedures.
• Basic problem‑solving related to equipment maintenance.
