Sheet Metal Worker – Aerospace (Manchester East)

About the role

We are recruiting experienced sheet‑metal workers for a leading aerospace and defence manufacturer at its Manchester (East) facility. The role involves producing precision aluminium components to strict aerospace tolerances in a high‑tech engineering environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manufacture and assemble sheet‑metal parts to aerospace tolerances.
• Interpret detailed engineering drawings and routing cards.
• Perform rubber pressing, hand forming, profiling, countersinking, wheeling and rolling operations.
• Use calibrated equipment in line with process requirements.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and adhere to quality and safety procedures.

Required profile

• Proven experience in aerospace or high‑precision sheet‑metal work, especially with thin‑gauge aluminium.
• Ability to read and understand complex engineering drawings.
• Commitment to strict quality, compliance and 5S safety standards.
