Shipping Export Operator – Sea Freight Export Specialist

About the role

Our client, a well‑established private shipping company, is expanding its Export Division and needs two permanent Shipping Export Operators. You will join the busy Export Consol team in Romford, coordinating sea‑freight export shipments from start to finish and acting as a key liaison between customers, carriers and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage sea‑freight export consol shipments.
• Liaise with customers, shipping lines, overseas agents and internal departments to ensure smooth cargo movement.
• Prepare and process all export documentation accurately.
• Monitor shipments through to completion and provide regular updates to customers.
• Ensure compliance with customs and shipping regulations.
• Maintain accurate shipment records.
• Handle multiple shipments simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

Required profile

• Previous sea‑freight export experience within a freight‑forwarding environment.
• Experience of export consol operations; NVOCC export experience is a strong advantage.
• Strong communication and organisational abilities.
• Proven ability to manage multiple shipments in a fast‑paced setting.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
