Shop Floor Assistant – Warehouse Operative

About the role

We are seeking a Shop Floor Assistant to support daily operations in our warehouse at Wardley Industrial Estate, Worsley. The role involves handling stock, assisting customers, and maintaining a safe, efficient work environment on a full‑time basis.

Key responsibilities

• Replenish stock on the shop floor and ensure accurate labeling.
• Pick and pack orders for dispatch.
• Unload deliveries and operate industrial warehouse ladders safely.
• Work at height where required, following health and safety procedures.
• Provide customer service by locating items and answering queries.
• Assist with additional duties as needed, demonstrating flexibility.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 months experience in a similar warehouse or shop floor role.
• Physically fit, able to lift and move heavy items throughout the shift.
• UK resident able to travel to the site; no visa or relocation support provided.
• Reliability and willingness to work the specified shift pattern.

Required skills

• Basic stock handling and inventory control.
• Ability to use industrial ladders and work safely at height.
