Software Development Manager

About the role

We are seeking a technically strong Software Development Manager to lead engineering standards for a high‑growth UK SaaS platform. You will combine hands‑on technical depth with people leadership to shape the next phase of platform evolution.

Key responsibilities

• Define and enforce engineering standards, architecture, and best practices across the platform.
• Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary engineering team, balancing people management with technical direction.
• Drive delivery of secure, maintainable, and high‑performance systems at scale.
• Collaborate with product and DevOps teams to ensure smooth CI/CD pipelines and robust automated testing.

Required profile

• Significant experience in a SaaS or product‑led environment.
• Proven track record as a hands‑on software engineer (C#/.NET or modern JavaScript/TypeScript stacks).
• Demonstrated leadership of engineering teams and delivery of large‑scale systems.
• Strong understanding of automated testing, QA practices, and modern DevOps approaches.
