Software Engineer – Security (Python/Go) – Algorithmic Trading

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer focused on security to join the Systems Development team of a leading algorithmic trading firm in London. You will design, build and enhance Python and Go tools that automate secure machine provisioning, monitoring, secrets management and network configuration across our low‑latency trading and research platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain security‑focused automation tools in Python and Go.
• Troubleshoot software, network and kernel issues on a fleet of Linux machines.
• Write configuration‑management code to deploy and maintain services.
• Contribute to the direction of the internal Python platform.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to solve a variety of security challenges.

Required profile

• Strong Python programming ability and solid computer‑science fundamentals.
• Experience debugging complex software problems quickly.
• Good understanding of Linux/UNIX operating systems.
• Interest in security best practices.
• BS or MS in Computer Science or related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant professional experience.
