Software Engineer – Yalla Platform

About the role

bp is expanding its digital capabilities and seeks a Software Engineer to help shape the future of energy through technology. You will build and operate reliable software that powers bp’s global operations, collaborating with cross‑functional teams and influencing product design.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient software solutions.
• Write production‑ready code in C#, Python, Java, or Go and adopt new technologies as needed.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver features on the Yalla stack.
• Develop, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines for reliable releases.
• Support configuration, release processes, and live services, including monitoring and incident response.
• Design and optimise relational databases and data models.
• Participate in system design discussions and apply secure coding practices.
• Share knowledge, mentor teammates, and contribute to a collaborative culture.

Required profile

• Experience working as a Software Engineer on production systems.
• Enjoy solving meaningful technical problems and collaborating with others.
