Solicitor (1-6 PQE) – Policy Coverage

About the role

Keoghs LLP, a leading UK insurance law firm, is seeking a solicitor with 1‑6 years post‑qualification experience to join its Policy Coverage team. You will manage a portfolio of household and commercial property recovery files, providing technical legal advice and supporting client‑facing activities such as training seminars.

Key responsibilities

• Initial case review and reporting
• Handling disclosure and reviewing evidence
• Conducting investigations and instructing counsel/experts
• Legal research and drafting of pleadings, Part 36 offers and applications
• Attending conferences, trials and ADR sessions
• Liaising with lay and insurer clients and managing routine correspondence
• Negotiating settlements and preparing documents for trial

Required profile

• Previous experience in a defendant insurance litigation firm
• Specific litigation experience in recoveries, both household and commercial
• Strong ability to prioritise workload and pay attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills for client interaction and seminar delivery

Required skills

• Proficiency with case management systems
