Solicitor – Catastrophic Injury Associate

About the role

This position is for an ambitious solicitor to join a leading international law firm’s Catastrophic Injury team in Birmingham. You will work on complex, high‑value claims alongside recognised specialists in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and assist with a caseload of catastrophic injury claims.
• Investigate liability and quantum issues on complex, high‑value cases.
• Support senior lawyers on technically challenging and sensitive matters.
• Liaise with clients, experts, counsel, and other stakeholders.
• Contribute to delivering practical, commercially focused legal advice.
• Participate in client relationship management and business development activities.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales or CILEX qualified with at least 2 years post‑qualification experience.
• Experience defending catastrophic injury litigation.
• Strong negotiation and case management abilities.
• Proven experience of direct client contact and involvement in business development initiatives.
• Excellent communication, analytical and organisational skills.
