Solicitor Consultant – Private Client (Scotland)

About the role

IFW Legal Services Limited is expanding its Private Client Department in Scotland and seeks experienced solicitors to join on a self‑employed consultancy basis. You will provide specialist estate‑planning advice to Scottish clients and expatriates, working alongside a network of chartered accountants and an innovative, digitally‑driven team.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct detailed client consultations to deliver tailored estate‑planning strategies.
• Draft high‑quality Scottish and/or Islamic wills, lasting powers of attorney, trusts and related documentation.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of Scots law and ensure full regulatory compliance.
• Provide exceptional customer service to both new and existing clients.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 + continuous years post‑qualification experience (PQE) in Scots law.
• Proven track record in will drafting, LPAs and estate‑planning matters.
• Strong legal research abilities and accurate application of the law.
• Ability to manage over 100 case files simultaneously and work independently from instruction to completion.
• Commitment to confidentiality, ethical practice and high‑quality client care.
• Two professional references required.
