About the role

Join East Midlands Police Legal Services (EMPLS) as an Operations Solicitor, supporting five regional police forces in a fast‑paced legal team. Based in Alfreton, you will provide expert legal advice, manage a diverse caseload and work closely with internal and external stakeholders to protect communities across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Carry a varied legal caseload, delivering advice and advocacy on operational matters.
• Provide specialist legal guidance to the EMPLS collaboration and its partner forces.
• Ensure all case management activities comply with established protocols and standards.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive.
• Demonstrated experience managing a legal caseload.
• Strong negotiation and influencing abilities.
