Sourcing Manager – Hybrid (Milton Keynes)

About the role

Our client is seeking a Sourcing Manager to lead the sourcing process for large‑scale business needs. Based in Milton Keynes with a hybrid working model, the role involves managing supplier relationships and tender processes to drive cost efficiencies and secure reliable supply.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic sourcing initiatives to optimise supplier performance, reduce costs, and ensure continuity of supply.
• Identify, evaluate, and negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favourable pricing, quality, and service agreements.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while monitoring performance through key metrics and regular business reviews.
• Run fair and clear tender processes.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Procurement, Operations, Finance, Engineering) to align sourcing strategies with business objectives.
• Analyse market trends, supplier capabilities, and risk factors to support informed sourcing decisions and mitigate supply chain disruptions.
• Lead cost‑saving and process improvement projects using spend analysis, supplier consolidation, and competitive bidding.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in sourcing or procurement roles.
• Proven experience managing tender processes, including high‑value tenders over £300,000.
• Confident decision‑maker with commercial acumen to balance value, risk and business requirements.
• Team player able to work collaboratively across functions.
