Spacecraft Operation Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Spacecraft Operations Engineer to work alongside an operations development team to help design and deliver a fully functional spacecraft operations centre to manage and provide services for a fleet of spacecrafts. Reporting directly to the Head of Space Engineering you will provide technical inputs into bid work, designing satellite ground stations, network design and preparations for spacecraft operations.

Key responsibilities

• Spacecraft operation planning and execution, including telemetry analysis and anomaly investigation, diagnosis and mitigation.
• Aid in assessing risk elements of all aspects of spacecraft design, build and test.
• Work alongside the Project Lead to design operational concepts for the mission.
• Provide input into the design and bid work of end‑to‑end satellite missions.

Required profile

• BSc Systems Engineering, Physics, or equivalent OR experience working within the Space Industry.
• Interest in spacecraft operations and design.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Interest in programming technical solutions (e.g., Python, MATLAB).
