Special Needs Tutor – Flexible Part‑Time (£25‑30/hr)

About the role
Prospero Teaching partners with local councils to deliver tuition for looked‑after children and students with Education, Health and Care Plans. We are seeking a passionate Special Needs Tutor to provide one‑to‑one support in Functional Skills, Maths and English, adapting lessons to each learner’s ability and profile.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver 1:1 tuition in Functional Skills, Maths and English, tailored to the student’s learning profile.
- Adapt lesson materials to meet the communication and developmental needs of each learner.
- Support learners with a range of SEN, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, global development delay and communication difficulties.
- Help students prepare for and achieve their GCSE targets.
- Provide regular feedback to parents, carers or schools on progress.
Required profile
- Qualified teacher with a genuine passion for helping young people succeed.
- Willing to complete safeguarding and vetting checks and register with Prospero Teaching.
- Experience working with SEN students is desirable.
- Ability to work flexible hours (morning, noon or evening) as required.
