About the role
We are partnering with an Outstanding‑rated primary school in Islington to recruit a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant. The role supports pupils with additional learning needs across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 within a specialist SEN unit.
Key responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small‑group support to children with SEN.
- Assist teachers in delivering personalised learning plans and classroom activities.
- Promote a safe, positive and engaging learning environment.
- Collaborate with the teaching team to monitor progress and adapt interventions.
Required profile
- Previous experience working with children who have SEN.
- Strong understanding of a range of additional needs such as ASD, ADHD, and speech‑language difficulties.
- Patient, proactive and nurturing approach.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
Required skills
- Knowledge of SEN strategies and support techniques.
