Specialist Pharmacist – Haematology & Oncology

About the role
Join a leading paediatric centre dedicated to children with cancer and haematological conditions. As a Specialist Pharmacist in Haematology and Oncology, you will support treatment planning, supply management and contribute to innovative therapies within a fast‑moving, high‑risk environment.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with clinicians to advise on treatment strategies for rare haematology and oncology conditions.
- Support planning and procurement of medicines, including compassionate use supplies.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to testing of groundbreaking therapies.
- Provide patient‑focused medication information and education to families.
- Engage in on‑call, extended hours, weekend and core duty rotas as required.
Required profile
- Current NHS band 6/7/8a pharmacist or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient safety, compassion and high‑quality care.
- Ability to work autonomously and influence multidisciplinary decisions.
- Strong organisational skills and enthusiasm for continuous learning.
Required skills
- EPR (Electronic Patient Record) system proficiency.
