Store Manager – Retail Leadership Role

About the role

Heron Foods is seeking a Store Manager to lead its Kingstanding store in Birmingham. You will be responsible for driving sales, ensuring operational excellence, and delivering a high‑standard customer experience in a fast‑paced, community‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop a team to achieve sales targets and deliver exceptional service.
• Maintain store presentation, stock levels and health & safety compliance.
• Resolve customer queries and ensure a positive shopping experience.
• Manage day‑to‑day operations, including cash handling and inventory control.
• Identify and develop talent, creating succession plans for the team.

Required profile

• Proven experience in retail management or a similar leadership role.
• Ability to work in a high‑energy, demanding environment.
• Strong communication and people‑development skills.
