About the role

A well‑established engineering organisation is hiring a Strategic Sourcing Buyer to support its growing procurement function in the Bristol area. The role focuses on supplier management, cost reduction and strategic sourcing across key commodities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives
• Manage supplier relationships and monitor performance
• Deliver cost‑saving and value‑engineering initiatives
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) projects
• Prepare RFQs and negotiate supplier agreements

Required profile

• Experience in procurement or supply chain
• Strong negotiation and supplier‑management capabilities
• Background in a manufacturing or engineering environment
• Good analytical and commercial awareness
• Ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders
