Systems Engineer – DV Clearance Required

About the role

Leidos is seeking a Systems Engineer to support a critical MOD system that underpins the United Kingdom's national security. The role is based in Herefordshire with occasional travel to other sites and requires DV clearance.

Key responsibilities

• Enact systems engineering best practices in a predominantly Windows environment, covering radio, video and network interfaces.
• Manage the full lifecycle of the system, from development through to mission‑critical production, including server patching and performance monitoring.
• Maintain and optimise critical Microsoft server platforms, ensuring high availability, security and performance.
• Analyse, troubleshoot and resolve issues in real time, providing end‑to‑end problem resolution.
• Implement and manage backup, restore and recovery processes.

Required profile

• Current DV clearance or ability to obtain it.
• Proven experience in server administration (AD, DNS, DHCP) and virtualisation technologies.
• Experience maintaining critical Microsoft server systems and managing patch cycles across development to production environments.
• Ability to work with industry partners and platform integrators on integration and installation activities.
