Tax & Accounts Semi‑Senior – £28‑35k + Study Support

About the role

This mixed tax and accounts position sits within a well‑established chartered accountancy firm on the Kent‑Sussex border. You’ll work with long‑standing owner‑managed and family‑owned clients, handling everything from day‑to‑day compliance to business planning, restructuring and inheritance tax advice.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships.
• Prepare and submit corporation tax, personal tax and VAT returns.
• Carry out bookkeeping and related compliance work.
• Interact directly with clients, answering their routine queries.
• Support directors on advisory and planning projects as they arise.

Required profile

• Experience in an accountancy practice, ideally covering both accounts and tax.
• AAT qualified, ATT/ACCA part‑qualified, or qualified by experience with sufficient depth.
• Comfortable dealing with clients rather than working solely behind the scenes.
• Desire for variety and willingness to be involved across the business.
