Tax & Accounts Senior Manager / Associate Director

About the role

This senior position sits within a respected accountancy practice, reporting directly to the Partners. You will manage a high‑value client portfolio while leading complex tax advisory projects and shaping the department’s strategic direction.

Key responsibilities

• Lead complex tax planning assignments for owner‑managed businesses, entrepreneurs and high‑net‑worth individuals.
• Provide commercially focused corporate and personal tax advice, supporting acquisitions, restructures and succession planning.
• Oversee the quality of accounts and tax work across the department, mentoring managers and senior staff.
• Drive process improvements, client service enhancements and contribute to strategic initiatives with the Partners.
• Manage and grow a substantial portfolio of high‑value clients, identifying new business opportunities.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CTA qualified.
• Extensive experience within a UK accountancy practice, with strong tax advisory and accounts background.
• Proven leadership and business development experience.
• Commercially minded with ambition to progress to Director or Partner level.
