Tax Compliance Accountant

About the role

As a Tax Compliance Accountant you will support corporate tax compliance for the main UK legal entity and its subsidiaries. Reporting to the Senior Tax Manager, you will work in a hybrid model from either Yeovil or Edinburgh, collaborating with finance, commercial teams and external advisors.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and analyse data from divisional SAP systems for UK, overseas branch and Permanent Establishment tax returns.
• Extract and analyse information for the annual RDEC and Patent Box claim for Leonardo UK Ltd and coordinate related meetings.
• Ensure timely corporate income tax payments, journal postings and tax account reconciliations across all jurisdictions.
• Support preparation of quarterly and annual tax provisions and input data into Hyperion Financial Management.
• Prepare documentation for Senior Accounting Officer requirements and assist with audit requests.
• Maintain the annual UK Transfer Pricing report and related documentation.
• Compile information for Controlled Foreign Companies and Country‑by‑Country Reporting.
• Provide technical tax advice to other departments, including at bid stage.
• Assist internal forecasting, minimise penalties, and update Tax Team process documentation.
• Respond to Law 262 internal and external audits and support the wider tax team as needed.

Required profile

• Professional qualification in tax or accounting (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CTA) or part‑qualified status.
• Experience in corporate tax compliance, including UK corporation tax, overseas branches and Permanent Establishments.
• Familiarity with RDEC, Patent Box, Transfer Pricing, CFC and Country‑by‑Country Reporting.
• Ability to work collaboratively with finance, commercial teams and external advisors.
