Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of complex HMRC investigations and tax disputes.
• Handle COP8 and COP9 cases.
• Respond to complex enquiries and information requests.
• Prepare and submit voluntary disclosures.
• Negotiate settlements with HMRC.
• Advise individuals and businesses on contentious tax matters.
• Maintain client relationships and oversee your own caseload.
• Support junior team members.

Required profile

• Proven experience in tax disputes and HMRC investigations.
• Strong background handling contentious tax matters.
• Relevant experience from a Big 4, top‑tier firm, boutique tax investigations practice or HMRC.
