Teaching Assistant – Eastleigh

About the role

Prospero Teaching is looking for a motivated Teaching Assistant to support pupils in schools across Eastleigh. This full‑time, term‑time position offers the chance to work closely with teachers, helping children stay engaged and confident throughout the school day.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one support and facilitate small‑group learning activities.
• Assist teachers with lesson preparation, classroom resources and activity set‑up.
• Encourage positive behaviour and maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment.
• Support pupils in staying focused, motivated and productive during lessons.
• Build constructive relationships with pupils, teachers and support staff.

Required profile

• Experience working with children or young people, such as in childcare, youth work or coaching.
• Patient, supportive and approachable demeanor.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Adaptable to varied learning needs and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Graduates seeking experience in education are encouraged to apply.
