Team Manager – Residential Rehabilitation Service

About the role

Turning Point is seeking an inspirational Team Manager to lead the dedicated staff at Leigh Bank Residential Rehabilitation Service in Oldham. The role involves overseeing a 24/7 residential setting that supports individuals recovering from substance use, helping them build sustainable, positive futures.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day leadership and operational management of the residential rehabilitation service.
• Motivate and develop a multidisciplinary team to achieve excellent outcomes.
• Ensure delivery of safe, person‑centred care in line with regulatory requirements and Turning Point standards.
• Manage staffing resources, rotas, recruitment, induction and performance management.
• Maintain compliance with safeguarding, governance, health and safety, and clinical requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement and recovery‑focused practice.
• Monitor service performance against quality and operational indicators.
• Build positive relationships with commissioners, external partners and internal stakeholders.
• Support service development and contribute to strategic objectives.

Required profile

• Previous management or leadership experience in health, social care, substance use, mental health or residential services.
• Proven ability to manage teams and support professional development.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding, risk management and quality assurance.
• Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a busy service environment.
• Experience of partnership working with external agencies and stakeholders.
• Commitment to person‑centred and recovery‑focused approaches.
