Technical Area Sales Manager – North East

About the role

We are seeking a Technical Area Sales Manager to lead and grow our client’s engineering sales footprint across the North East. This permanent position offers an immediate start and the chance to work with a market‑leading manufacturer.

Key responsibilities

• Manage market share and develop new business within the allocated North East territory.
• Expand the existing customer base and set monthly and annual sales targets aligned with the company strategy.
• Follow up leads generated by marketing, implement sales and marketing plans, and maintain accurate CRM data.
• Prepare regular reports, forecasts and industry/product updates for senior management.
• Collaborate with the Regional Sales Manager and support other duties as required.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a technical sales role within engineering or manufacturing, preferably electrical.
• Self‑starter who can work independently and as part of a small team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Degree in Electrical, Electronics or Instrumentation Engineering is desirable.
• Willingness to travel across the North East for field‑based sales activities.
