Technical Assurance Lead

About the role

The Technical Assurance Lead is responsible for auditing legacy physical protection measures and supporting the design and construction of hardened security infrastructure. The role works closely with Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers, design management, and client security teams to ensure compliance with standards and successful project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Audit existing physical protection elements (locking systems, cages, doors, fences, etc.) using the Go Report Template for Stage Gate 2 design.
• Liaise with Tier 2 suppliers to obtain product certifications and support audit activities.
• Assist Design Management with waivers, Technical Queries, and Stage Gate concept designs.
• Develop pre‑construction design paperwork and post‑construction Site Acceptance documentation.
• Produce document templates for Technical Leads and Design Managers.
• Review and complete Design Review Reports (DRR) for Tier 1 designs.
• Conduct site inspections during construction and create Site Attendance Reports (SAR) and snagging reports.
• Provide post‑construction compliance audit reports and support Go Report development.
• Maintain and update physical elements of the site SAMM pack after construction.
• Deliver internal training for apprentices and support growth of the Physical department, including recruitment and mentoring.
• Participate in progress meetings, stakeholder approvals, and client liaison for ad‑hoc requests and Early Warning Notices.

Required profile

• Proven experience in technical assurance, physical security hardening, and construction audit processes.
• Familiarity with SEAP standards and client standards such as SP08 and SEC250.
• Ability to work with multiple suppliers and manage documentation throughout project stages.
• Strong communication skills for training, stakeholder meetings, and client interaction.
