About the role
The Tekla Developer will lead the design, development, and implementation of Tekla applications, macros, custom components, and plugins that streamline construction modeling workflows. Working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, you will ensure that Tekla environments are optimised for both firm‑wide and client‑specific projects.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, design, and build front‑end and back‑end Tekla applications and plugins.
- Prioritise projects in collaboration with the Director of Technology.
- Deploy and roll‑out solutions across the construction modelling practice.
- Estimate work scope, test tools thoroughly, and validate performance on live projects.
- Review project design documentation to create custom workflows and tools.
- Support the Technical Director in managing Tekla catalogues, templates, layouts, and properties.
- Troubleshoot Tekla workflows and assist with file‑management and version control.
- Evaluate new Tekla versions and service packs for compatibility and enhancements.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Computer Science or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of steel detailing experience with Tekla Structures on complex projects.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
