Temporary Adult Social Worker – Community Teams

About the role
We are recruiting 15 qualified social workers for a six‑month community project with Birmingham City Council. The role is based in Birmingham and involves supporting vulnerable adults to live independently while working within an established community team.
Key responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of adult service users, identifying needs and outcomes.
- Conduct assessments, reviews and produce written reports.
- Participate in case discussions and multidisciplinary meetings.
- Promote well‑being and help clients retain or regain skills and confidence.
Required profile
- Qualified social work degree or equivalent (BA Social Work, CQSW, DipSW, CSS, CCETSW).
- Current registration with Social Work England.
- Minimum two years of post‑UK social work experience with adults.
- Strong knowledge of legislation underpinning social work.

- Competitive hourly rate up to £28.40.
- Six‑month fixed‑term contract with possibility of rolling extension.
- Hybrid working – 35 hours per week, remote with one office day.
