Third Party Claims Handler

About the role

Are you an experienced Motor Claims Handler looking for a new challenge? We are recruiting a Third Party Claims Handler to join a well‑established insurance business in Bolton. The role offers career development within a supportive, forward‑thinking organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of Third Party Motor and Property Damage claims.
• Prioritise workload and handle claims efficiently.
• Investigate claims and establish liability.
• Handle complex cases, including liability and high‑value claims.
• Liaise with solicitors, insurers, accident management companies and other third parties.
• Identify and refer potentially fraudulent activity.
• Work closely with internal departments throughout the claims process.
• Deliver a consistently high level of customer service.

Required profile

• Previous experience handling Third Party Motor claims and/or Credit Hire claims.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to build effective relationships with customers and third parties.
• Strong organisational and computer skills.
• Ability to manage and prioritise a busy workload.
• A CII qualification, or willingness to work towards it.
• GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above, or equivalent.
