Trade Counter Sales Advisor – Automotive Parts

About the role

We are seeking an experienced, customer‑focused Trade Counter Sales Advisor to join our Birmingham branch. You will work on the shop floor, assisting trade and retail customers with automotive parts and accessories, while helping the team meet sales targets.

Key responsibilities

• Serve trade and retail customers at the counter, by phone and email.
• Identify customer needs and locate the correct parts using electronic parts catalogues.
• Build and maintain relationships with local garages, workshops and regular trade customers.
• Promote offers, recommend products and upsell to maximise sales.
• Process orders accurately through the point‑of‑sale system and ensure timely fulfilment.
• Maintain stock presentation, merchandising standards and overall branch housekeeping.
• Collaborate with the warehouse and wider team to achieve branch sales targets.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a trade counter, motor factor, automotive parts or vehicle dealership parts department.
• Good knowledge of automotive parts and ability to select the correct components.
• Proven track record of delivering excellent customer service and meeting sales goals.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills with both trade and retail customers.
• Availability to work one Saturday in every three weeks.
