Trainee Recruitment Consultant – Legal & Public Sector

About the role

Join Sellick Partnership’s specialist Public Sector Legal team in Manchester as a Trainee Recruitment Consultant. You will work alongside experienced managers, learning to source and place legal professionals across the UK while developing your own client and candidate network.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with senior consultants to identify and attract top legal talent.
• Head‑hunt passive candidates and nurture relationships via phone, email and face‑to‑face meetings.
• Conduct candidate interviews, assess suitability, and match them to live roles.
• Source candidates using our internal database, external job boards and LinkedIn Recruiter.
• Tailor CVs, write job adverts and keep candidate records up to date.
• Research new client opportunities and add them to the database.
• Promote the Sellick Partnership brand and your personal brand through social media and networking events.

Required profile

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organisational abilities and a results‑driven mindset.
• Motivation to achieve KPIs and sales targets in a fast‑paced environment.
• Willingness to learn recruitment processes and develop a client‑facing desk.
