Transformation Lead

About the role

The Transformation Lead will drive strategic interventions that reshape how the ICO regulates and operates, delivering sustained public value. Working across teams, you will use data‑driven insights to design, implement and embed new ways of working that improve efficiency and outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the end‑to‑end design, development and delivery of organisation‑wide transformation initiatives.
• Facilitate cross‑functional redesign of processes to break silos and enhance customer outcomes.
• Coach and influence leaders and teams to adopt new mindsets, behaviours and continuous‑improvement practices.
• Matrix‑manage cross‑cutting teams, collaborating with business analysts, change managers, programme managers and partners in People Services, Finance and DDaT.
• Ensure all changes are evidence‑based by actively using data throughout the transformation journey.

Required profile

• Hands‑on, independent professional comfortable engaging large groups and senior leaders.
• Ability to quickly grasp complex issues across varied contexts.
• Strong collaborative mindset with experience influencing without direct line‑management authority.
