About the role

Spencer Clarke Group is working with several schools in Preston that need unqualified teaching assistants. In this role you will support pupils in the classroom, helping them engage with learning and reach their potential. It offers a flexible, day‑to‑day placement suitable for those wanting experience in education.

Key responsibilities

• Support pupils with learning on a one‑to‑one and small‑group basis.
• Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging activities.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Support pupils’ social, emotional and educational development.
• Encourage positive behaviour and keep pupils focused.
• Adapt support to meet individual learner needs.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to support pupil progress.

• Genuine passion for supporting children and young people.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, caring and adaptable approach.
• Confidence working as part of a team and independently.
• Interest in education and personal development.
