Warehouse Operative – Night & Day Shifts (Edinburgh)

About the role
This temporary 3‑month position (with the possibility of extension) offers a fast‑paced warehouse environment in Edinburgh. You can work either night shifts (6 days on, 2 days off, 9:30 pm‑6 am) or day/back‑shifts (6 am‑2 pm or 1:30 pm‑10 pm on a 5‑on‑3‑off rotation). Pay rates are £12.71 per hour for days and £13.91 per hour for nights. The role involves picking and packing customer orders, inspecting merchandise to confirm correct quantities and ensuring nothing is missing.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure working practices comply with Food Safety principles.
- Adopt safe working practices by following Health & Safety guidelines, policies and procedures.
- Follow contract specifications and requirements for all working processes.
- Tray setting – prepare correct quantities of trays according to orders.
- Deliveries – check goods in, store them appropriately and deliver orders.
- Returns and recycled – manage the return of customer products and equipment.
- Dishwash area – wash, sort, assemble, pack and position aircraft equipment.
