Workshop Technician - Construction & Building Trades

About the Role

Main Missions

• Prepare and maintain all tools, materials, and equipment used by students in the workshops.
• Support the dismantling of student projects to ensure workshop efficiency and organization.
• Perform regular maintenance on workshop facilities and equipment.
• Manage inventory levels to ensure all necessary construction materials are always in stock.
• Implement and enforce rigorous Health and Safety systems within the workshop environment.
• Provide hands-on assistance and technical guidance to learners during practical activities.

Candidate Profile

• Level 2 qualification (or equivalent) in a construction-related trade.
• GCSE in English and Mathematics (Grade A*-C) or equivalent.
• Extensive practical experience within the construction sector.
• First Aid qualification (or a strong willingness to obtain one within the first 6 months).
• Commitment to safeguarding and maintaining a safe learning environment.

Required Skills

• Workshop maintenance and tool management.
• Health & Safety compliance (COSHH/Risk Assessment).
• Inventory and stock control.
• Technical instruction and student support.
