Assistant Quantity Surveyor

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support our rapidly growing interiors division, which delivers commercial fit‑out projects for a well‑established dry‑lining contractor in East London. The role will work closely with the Commercial Manager and internal teams to ensure accurate tendering, cost control and final accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Commercial Manager throughout all stages of the tendering process, including sub‑contract tendering.
• Monitor and control project costs and produce regular cost reports.
• Liaise with internal teams and attend project meetings.
• Support procurement activities and manage final accounts.

Required profile

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management.
• 1–2 years of surveying experience in the construction industry.
• Strong mathematical ability and attention to detail.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Confident, articulate, critical thinker with good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and willingness to undertake training.
