Assistant Quantity Surveyor

About the role
We are seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support our rapidly growing interiors division, which delivers commercial fit‑out projects for a well‑established dry‑lining contractor in East London. The role will work closely with the Commercial Manager and internal teams to ensure accurate tendering, cost control and final accounts.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the Commercial Manager throughout all stages of the tendering process, including sub‑contract tendering.
- Monitor and control project costs and produce regular cost reports.
- Liaise with internal teams and attend project meetings.
- Support procurement activities and manage final accounts.
Required profile
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management.
- 1–2 years of surveying experience in the construction industry.
- Strong mathematical ability and attention to detail.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Confident, articulate, critical thinker with good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and willingness to undertake training.
Required skills
- Relevant IT skills.
