Assistant Quantity Surveyor

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our Water team on the Severn Trent Framework. The role is based in Sheffield with remote working available and occasional visits to the office. You will support the delivery of diverse water projects from procurement through to final accounts. You will work alongside experienced professionals who are committed to your development and career growth. Key responsibilities

• Manage procurement schedules and subcontract packages to ensure smooth operation.
• Support commercial activities including cost management, forecasting and final accounts.
• Collaborate with the team to prepare compensation events and variation orders.
• Maintain accurate records and produce monthly financial reports.

Required profile

• Qualification in Surveying (e.g., RICS accredited).
• Proficiency with Excel and strong numerical/data handling skills.
• Organised, detail‑oriented and eager to learn new approaches.
• Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
