About the role
Airbus Helicopters UK is seeking a Part‑147 Aircraft Engineering B1.3 Mechanical Instructor / Examiner to join its training team at Oxford. The role involves delivering both theoretical and practical type training for a range of helicopter models and engines, as well as acting as a certified examiner and assessor.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver type‑training theory and practical sessions for qualified aircraft and engine types.
- Act as Theoretical Examiner and Practical Assessor in line with CAA/EASA Part‑66 & Part‑147 regulations.
- Develop and maintain examination banks and invigilate theoretical exams.
- Ensure training activities comply with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Cover Training Manager duties during prolonged absences.
- Coordinate examination timetables and guarantee security and validity of all assessments.
- Travel within the UK and overseas to deliver and receive training.
- Compile and update training course material and presentations.
Required profile
- Extensive hands‑on experience with Airbus EC135, MBB BK117‑D2, MBB BK117‑C2, SAFRAN Arrius 2B, Arriel 2E and PWC PW206 engines.
- In‑depth knowledge of CAA CAP1528, CAP1529 and EASA UG.CAO0.00154‑002 regulations.
- Proven experience as a Theoretical Examiner and Practical Assessor.
- Ability to meet CEFR B1 language level as required by CAA.
- Competence in designing and producing training course material and presentations.
