Business Development Manager – Fintech & Digital Partnerships

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Business Development Manager to expand its Fintech and Digital Partnerships across the UK & Ireland. You will identify new opportunities, build strategic relationships, and drive revenue growth for Mastercard’s suite of products and services.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in shaping the UK & Ireland Fintech and Digital Partners business development strategy.
• Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline in coordination with product, customer solutions, and account management teams.
• Prospect new partners using cold outreach, personal networks, social media, thought leadership and events.
• Explore cross‑functional opportunities with Mastercard product, acceptance, security, data and services teams.
• Maintain and grow an external network of Fintech and Digital Partners.
• Prepare and lead conversations with prospective digital partners and fintech decision‑makers.
• Analyse prospects’ business models to identify opportunities for Mastercard issuing, acceptance, security, data, remittances, open banking and processing solutions.
• Develop financial models and business cases to support new partnership proposals.
• Support contract negotiation, execution and post‑deal evaluation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business development, preferably within fintech or digital partnership environments.
• Strong analytical ability to assess partner business models and revenue potential.
• Excellent relationship‑building skills with a track record of managing strategic accounts.
