Buying Assistant – Entry Level Fashion Retail

About the role

Join ASOS as a Buying Assistant and start your career in fashion retail. This entry‑level position supports the Buying team in developing, sourcing and delivering the right products to customers. You’ll work with large volumes of samples and data in a fast‑paced, admin‑heavy environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the critical path and communicate with suppliers to meet key dates in the trading calendar.
• Track high volumes of samples through fit sessions, development, shoots and sign‑off meetings.
• Raise and manage purchase orders in line with supplier and brand deadlines.
• Collaborate daily with Merchandising, Design, Production, Technical, Marketing and suppliers.
• Provide administrative support, keeping reports and files up to date.
• Support product development with a focus on customer needs, commercial viability and innovation.
• Conduct competitor analysis and present insights to the team.
• Participate in systems and soft‑skills training and champion DEI initiatives.

Required profile

• Organised and adaptable with the ability to manage changing priorities.
• Eager to learn and grow within fashion retail.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large data sets.
