Cloud Architect

About the role

Raytheon UK is seeking a Cloud Architect to join the OMNIA® Training team in Warminster. The role will provide technical oversight for the Army Collective Training Service (ACTS) cloud solutions, driving design, implementation and delivery across AWS, Azure and OpenShift environments.

Key responsibilities

• Guide and mentor cloud platform engineers across multiple organisations, providing technical direction.
• Shape architecture and design of cloud solutions to align with business needs and best practices.
• Oversee provisioning, configuration and maintenance of cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with engineering, simulation and training teams to ensure seamless integration in military training environments.
• Drive operational efficiencies through cloud adoption, DevSecOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Design and enforce security controls and governance frameworks to ensure compliance.
• Select appropriate cloud services balancing performance, scalability and budget.
• Lead cloud transformation projects and contribute to high‑level design documentation.
• Communicate risks, issues and readiness status to project sponsors and governance boards.

Required profile

• Systems‑thinking mindset with strong stakeholder engagement skills.
• Proven ability to lead across engineering teams in complex, evolving environments.
• Eligibility and willingness to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance.
• Hybrid working preference, based in Warminster.
